Venison round steak in the crock pot. flour, season and brown 2-3 lbs of round steak in a skillet. Put browned steak into crock pot- add 2 cans golden mushroom soup, 1 can French onion soup, 1/2 can water, 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper. Set on low heat for 8 hours or high for 4 hours. Serve with mashed potatoes and your favorite green vegetable.... Smack your granny for the last bite good!
I do this same recipe but I also add some stewed tomatoes, canned of course. One of my absolute favorites!
Over the years I have made this for folks that say the don't like venison... I wait till they finish and ask them what they thought about bambi! LOL Of course their plates were always clean...
Done the same. This is basically Swiss Steak. I also like to add some sautéed mushrooms, onions and serve over spätzle. Really is one of my favorites. Pulling a pack of venison bottom round out of the freezer now!
