It was time to retire my 2005 f150 to just beater work around the homestead. It has been good to me for almost 16 years and 345k miles. I just picked up a new 2021 Ram 1500 night edition. I have a lot of reading to do to learn all of the new to me features. So far so good. Pics below Sent from my SM-G981U using Tapatalk
That is a beautiful truck! Congrats! My 2005 Buick Lesabre is still chugging along. Not sure if I will ever bring myself to buy a new vehicle. Never had one so I'm not sure what it's like
The amount of features is astounding. I wanted the heated seats and steering wheel and thought the back up camera would be nice as well. The radio has its own 100 page manual and the truck has a 500 page manual. I'm not sure I'll ever get to know all that stuff! Thanks Sent from my SM-G981U using Tapatalk
He's in WI, gotta be careful with that, bad juju. Can't go a mile without a dead deer on the side of the road in late October. I drive 2 2020 Dodges, they are crazy techie. I'll never figure everything out but as Sota said you got to get that idle engine shut down thing off. Funny kind of related thing happend to me the other day. I jumped into my 13 Expedition the other day for the first time in weeks and I had my keys carabined to my belt and reached onto the dash to hit the starter button. Was completely brain locked for a split second then remembered that cars used to need a mechanical key.
What ??? " It has been good to me for almost 16 years and 345k miles. " And you bought a Dodge ??? WTF !!! What is happening ?? The world is just going crazy. Seriously, it does look nice. Hope you enjoy it. I wish my 14 ford had a heated steering wheel. That would be nice in the winter. Barb loves her's in her Escape.
Good point! I've had chevys, fords and dodge (1). I've had ford trucks for the last 21 years and my Ram 3500 dump truck for the last 5 years. I've liked them all. This time around the Ram was the best bang for the buck. Also, I thought it looked great and was impressed with the performance of the hemi in my dump truck so I thought I'd give it a shot. Thanks for all the comments.
Not sure if dodge has this feature too. If I leave the fob in the truck as I often do, when I shut the drivers door I get a 3 chime alert on the horn. I suppose I would have to read the manual on that. Easier to google.
got ya beat, my 2000 Sonoma 4x4 has 384K on it (2nd motor/3 trans, etc.), still runs for a back-up vehicle .. ........ is that a full 6 ft bed, or one of those damn baby beds .... those baby beds, you cant even put a 6ft (and longer) one piece fishing rod(s) in the bed ...
I don't know if you got me beat. I have the original engine and muffler and on my 2nd Trans (rebuild). The bed is 5'7"....... I don't really fish much or have poles that length. Sent from my SM-G981U using Tapatalk
Wanted to see what it would look like when towing my car to the drag strip. Sent from my SM-G981U using Tapatalk
I got a spray-in Rhino bed liner and then I installed the side steps and the tonneau cover. I'm about done now. Sent from my SM-G981U using Tapatalk
