My son stated he wanted to bow hunt, so we are back in the saddle. We just started with getting some groups, we ended on this one. Getting a different sight for him next week, buying some new tree stands also. Pretty pumped Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Always does my heart good to see a dad and son start hunting together! Teach that grasshopper well Germ!
Hope your son has the time to get proficient. I wanted both my kids to bow hunt my daughter did bow hunt a few times, my son gun hunted one season. Kids get so darned busy.
Nice! This could be a win win situation. Great way for yourself to get back to hunting. What bow is he shooting? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Diamond Bow, goes from 23'' draw to 29'', 60 lb max pull. Bought for him in 2015, he shot in a league and did not show much interest. A couple of buddies hunt at school and stated he wanted to hunt, being weekends are open now I said let's do it. I have a Bowtech Icon Carbon I bought new in 2015, I have never hunted with it. Been using a ROSS Cardio for years, love that bow. I just put my order list together Muddy Double Ladder Nexus(2 of them) Muddy Boss Hawg 1.5(3 of them) MTC100 3-PAC Cameras
Check out Milliunum treestands. Definitely one of the most comfortable stands I have used for the money. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
@Justin you’ll be happy to know he’s been watching Bowhunt or die , I should him the picture of the get together years ago, he thinks I know people now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Looking good guys! Hunting with my son has been an awesome experience. It will be a few years until he's big enough and proficient enough with a compound, but the crossbow works great for now.
They're pricey with shipping included but I've never felt safer off the ground. These will last DECADES without rusting. No ratchet strap or horizontal stabilizer required, either. I'm sorry I didn't see this thread before you made your purchasing decision on stands for you and your son, Germ. Maybe this will help another hunter who's reading this. https://www.cbsdeerstands.com/
I have multiple ladder stands and cannot stand any of the metal waffle style seats. They all suck. All my purchases going forward will have a sling seat...

No, you're right. Full disclosure is I bow hunt standing, only sitting on the waffle-maker for about 5 minutes every 2 hours. The pad is sufficient for my style of hunting but would be a nightmare for folks who hunt/shoot while seated.

I am almost convinced you are serious. Bruh, now you just need to a saddle to round everything out. Don't you know the bowhunting game has changed while you spent the last several years watching from the sideline? Welcome back to the big bow dance.
