All set up with 50 minutes to wait. Cantexian is working his way up a tree 100 yards away. I don’t know how you run and gun saddle and lock on folks do it. I’ll stick to my climber.
Nothing at first light, but don't expect it. I think if I catch these deer on there way back to bed, probably won't happen til 9 - 9:30. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Currently have two doe bedded at 60... these deer frustrate me, I’m in the ladder stand this morning because every time I hunt my hang on 100 yards away there are always deer right infront of the ladder... of course 5 does walked right infront of my hang on....
Hang a stand right in between the two and you'll get to watch deer in front of both stands the first time you sit it. Irony had to have been invented by a hunter....
Nothing for @LittleChief or me this morning. We may do some scouting and find a different spot for tonight.
Well those two hung around for awhile, I was watching them then all of a sudden 50 yards to my right in the middle of the horse pasture was 15-20 does running, they went into the chunk of woods the does were bedded in and they all ran off together, then about 5 minutes later another group of 8 did the same thing. That’s it for me today, supposed to get some snow early next week so I’ll probably be sick a day next week! Good luck to those still chasing!! Also pulled the camera card and had this stud on it back on November 20
Up for the afternoon over a green field. This is easily the most Difficult, limb-filled tree I have ever climbed. I had two lineman’s belts going the whole way up. I think I gave @LittleChief a good laugh getting up. He is sitting about 80 yards away at the other end of the field. Oh well, there is a scrape and four piles of recent scat under this tree.
You ended up with a nice view. I figured you would if you got high enough. I’m just here to watch the show.
Makes me glad to see you guys still at it. Good luck! Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
That’s crazy!! lucky he got that thing!! Reminds me of the buck I got last year. About the same distance and he turned on the shot and I hit him in the neck. Only difference is he didn’t drop he ran off with arrow in him tearing him up with every step.couldn’t ever predict that quick of a reaction but he happened to turn right into the shot. Sometimes it helps to be lucky!! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
A couples of does hung up on the field edge about 70 yards away right at last light. Ran out of shooting light. Another 10 minutes may of had a chance.
