    As an adult not living with my parents....I have lived with....4 or 5 women. (Not at the same time.)

    That has always been my default- the toilet gets completely closed after every usage. WTF else would it have two lids? That way it's my fault if I piss on the lid, and it's her fault if she sits on the lid. True equal opportunity.

    When I wake up in the middle of the night to piss, I sit.
    And closing the lid when done or before flushing aint happening.
    Do you close the lid after pissing in a public establishment?
    Didn't think so, why not?

    You should always have the lid closed. Flushing disperses fecal matter into the air spreading bacteria and stank to your bathroom.
    Kinda thought this was common knowledge.

    Yes, I do. And I raise it before I piss, too. With my foot so I don't have to touch it. I try to keep the seat dry so nobody has to sit in my piss splatters.
