New hunter, haven't hunted yet, just got 1st compound bow in October 2020. I was wondering if anyone partners up to help with new hunters? I don't mind splitting any kills and want to learn as much as possible, Thank you for any answers and conversation. Sorry i forgot to put this in, but i am in Virginia

Not sure what state you’re in but I would be all for a trip or two like this. I’m a loner when it comes to hunting. No one else I know is really into it or wants to get into it. Been hunting off and on for years but only taken it seriously the last 2 or so. Trying to self teach as best I can with trial and error, YouTube and some of the well known hunting guys stuff out there. But would be cool to learn stuff by actually doing with a hunting buddy or two.

You might want to show us where you live(zone) where you would travel to. Where you have to hunt.
Lots of ppl on here make friends from the forum and they end up hunting together. I know I have made many, and I've had a bunch come hunt with me.
If you are just starting you might actually wanna look for a mentor. There is a lot to unpack when learning archery and bow hunting.
    Good luck.

I’ve been on saddle hunter for a good while and a couple other local forums to my area. Just started on this one not long ago.

Well, welcome to the forum. There is an entire thread devoted to saddle hunting, and a fair amount of guys that love it.

Thanks! Nice to be here. Yeah I like saddle hunting but it’s not the end all be all for me. Though saddles are hard to beat for portability, I actually prefer tree stands just as much if not a little more.

Kinda of ventured over to this forum because I wanted to be around more hunting in general, tactics, gear and stories etc. and not have every single thing be based solely on just saddles and saddle hunting.

Welcome. I'm sure that there will be someone who will step up to the plate for you. I'm working with my grandson now.

We have a saying about hunting partners here in Idaho.
"Choosing a hunting partner is like choosing a spouse...except a lot more important."
Good luck in your search Westdesign, and welcome to the forum.
