Just a few days left in the season, so I've been in the stand since a bit before 3. Does have been in here regularly, so maybe I'll put some meat in the freezer. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Didn't see any deer, just a close encounter with a large hawk. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I’m parked and about to walk in. My phone didn’t charge for some reason so I’ll keep the chatter to a minimum. I’ll carry a charge cable I can use with my heated vest battery pack if something exciting happens.
Had two bucks cruise through about 100 yards out around 45 minutes ago. Couldn’t tell if they were legal or not. It’s been dead since then. Squirrels aren’t even moving.
Well, I’m down and at the truck. That’ll do it for this trip. I’m going to go back to the cabin, load all my stuff and head home. At least I’m not going home empty handed.
Yes I did but they didn't show there today. The bucks I saw this morning took a route I've never seen them take. Had I not moved they still would have passed me at 100 yards plus. Now that I've observed that flat from two different angles and saw two morning's worth of movement I know where to move to. I need to move farther west. There is some buck traffic that goes north/south where I'm hunting, but most of the buck traffic is east/west. Now that I've viewed it from different angles I've noticed that there is a point where the trails converge about 125 yards farther west. The next time I go to Arkansas I'll make a move on it but I'll need a north or south wind.
Work screwed me over placing me on 12's. Get home tomorrow night and load the 4 wheeler. I am in brown and down mode, smaller the better for freezer space, but I can manage either way. Supposed to snow, I'll emphasize supposed to, tomorrow night and have up to an inch by Friday morning. WIN!
I go in for Knee surgery at 6:15 in the morning. My season is over already anyways, maybe I’ll be good to shed hunt in a month or so. Good luck to anybody who still has some hunting days left Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Most likely it will be the 22nd or the 23rd. Maybe sooner depending on when my son and his family leave.
I'm a procrastinator dammit. I haven't been out since Veterans Day, but have said I was probably 5 times since then and haven't. Just had a lack of motivation this year, but it started last year.
