Yesterday, 500 medical personnel were vaccinated at the med school where I work. Another 500 will be done today. No negative reactions that I have heard about. I am not one of them, only people directly involved in patient care. Most likely, I will not even be considered for it until the Spring when most people will have the opportunity if they want it. We will see how the next few months play out before I decide whether or not I will take it.

    Nothing about CNN there.
I got it from UK Daily, but they got it from the NYT. But most of that's behind paywall.

Governor dipshit at it again. Lets open outdoor dining in the middle of winter in Minnesota. Such a joke.

At what point do the real lawmakers, State congressmen, get to make these decisions about lockdown? How long do Governors get to make laws and do whatever they want for 9 to 12 months?

People are pissed but I get it, can not have new years parties in bars. I have not gone out for new years in years but this is going to kill bars and restaurants statewide.

More like for as long as it takes for them to be slapped down by State Supreme Courts or the SCOTUS. Pritzker is under the belief, and nothing has really stopped him thus far, that he can go on with it forever keeping his emergency powers intact indefinitely. We all know Madigan and company are not going to render him or future Governors powerless beyond 30 days.

"The governor’s emergency powers stem from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency Act, which limits the exercise of emergency powers to 30 days after a disaster proclamation is made. Pritzker has claimed he can extend his emergency powers indefinitely by continuing to issue new disaster proclamations as they expire. The Act is silent as to whether the emergency powers can be renewed in that way, and the Illinois General Assembly has not stepped in to clarify with new legislation."

were you born yesterday, or just last week?
Call @Germ and ask him about how many times his Governor has ignored state supreme court rulings. Wait'll the SCOTUS tells us we don't have "standing" again - after waiting 6 months or more after we are disabused of THE most cherished of our Constitutional Rights; and THE very founding principal of our Nation- that to peaceably assemble and share our faiths.

ooooooooooo Chief Justhis Raaaabhertsth sided with "us" by saying that restrictions of 20 or less church attendee caps were too restrictive...but that "reasonable" restrictions were still allowed.

    4uck all of this.
