Sat for last hour of day yesterday and shot this guy 10 mins before end of legal. Would have been 8 pt but both the tips of his main beams are broken from fighting. Had my dog come track his first deer since I knew it would be a guaranteed recovery. he did great for his 1st track never wondered off of it even though I know there was many other deer tracks in the area. Glad I finally got some meat in the freezer so I can get back to trying to get one with the bow. My wife was getting anxious about empty freezer. Started talking about using the money from hunting licenses to buy bulk meat from farmer. Had to get the pressure off, lol

Awesome! My wife is dogging me as well. She just loves the burger to sub in everything. I usually have 4 or so in the freezer by now. I killed a doe shotgun season. Saw a real nice buck but in neighbors field couldn’t shoot. Still have good amount of season

The wife and I went out Saturday. My release fell out of my pocket in the driveway while putting on my bibs. I didn’t realize I didn’t have it until we got all the way back there. Three does came in and bedded 30 yards from the stand. Damn the luck

I saw the biggest mainframe 8 pointer I’ve ever seen in my life yesterday. Had to be 160” + . He was in this brushy field that I had just watched 2 bucks chase a hot doe around in about a half hour before. I grunted at him 2 times. He ignored me and put his nose to the ground. I snort wheezed at him. He took 2 steps my way then nose back to ground. He marched around in circles sniffing everywhere that doe was. My arms got so tired of holding my Binos I just had to put them down eventually. He filtered out of sight onto private property. The closest he was to me was about 150 yds but my knee would still tremble when I looked at him through the Binos.

Heading to KY public land the 27-30th. Going with my brother in laws to Peabody it’s looking like. Anybody have any better suggestions?

Finally got my Indiana trip episode uploaded. Was a great trip and everyone saw buck in range, just weren’t able to pull it off on a mature deer. We will be going back again next year.

Caleb, isn't your team score missing a buck you killed?

    Hey guys, I'm way behind!

Doubled on a couple does last weekend! And I still haven't posted my buck to the Scorecard Thread...

I'll get those posted so we can get the 100pts.

Finally broke the deerless streak this year, and I've got 3 down. Now that the freezer is full, it's on to a nice buck!

Nice job Brad. That’s a good way to end a deer less streak
