I was bringing my climber into a spot that I wanted to hunt tomorrow morning, it the opening day of regular season so I have can use my tag. Going to have NW wind and the stand I have set up is for a south west or south wind. So i put the climber up to cover tomorrow's northwest wind...pulled a card near a stand about 150 yards away and got this picture. Intresteding buck. I never seen him before. Looks like a 4 year old deer. Not sure if I will arrow him of I see him this weekend. But with gun season opening tomorrow I might be crazy to give him a pass. Would love to see him next year.

Well, another proud dad moment. The 8 I passed during bow season with the exact thought of “I’d rather have my kids shoot it” came to pass tonight. My son connected on him tonight at 70 yards. Made a great shot with my .270.

Hey guys. I must apologize for my lack of communication. I lost my wifi so I'm at a friend house to post. Our season here has ended. I've never had a season like this year Not 1 buck in my comfort zone to shoot but so many at 50 yards plus. I saw a big 150 class sparring with a smaller buck and literally flip the smaller one on it's back at 70 yards. A lot of does and fawns in range but manitoba only allows 1 deer per hunter per year for white guys.... . I just couldn't manage to get in close on a buck. I ended up filling my tag with a rifle on second last day of season on a decent buck.
