@grommel nice buck but per contest rule youll have to rescore to 1/8th not 1/4. Adam dont worry about the dang contest. Get yourself right. If not for yourself do it for your family.

.... congrats @grommel way to get another down.

I will be hunting at some point during December 16-20, if not before. My parents are coming into town that weekend and my dad wants to hunt with my boys. That will be a rifle hunt if we can get on to my friend's farm during those dates, archery if we are on public land.

Mobility is good. I never really lost any mobility. Right now, I just get stiff from sitting in one position too long. The muscles in my low back are hyperactive right now and really tight. The muscle relaxers are helping but I have not even been on them yet for 24 hours.

Well boys will be going out with shotgun and doe tag. If i see lots of bucks ill buy a tag and get out. Otherwise may get a late muzzleloader tag and use my bow.

Sorry I haven't been on much. I've been working and studying for my medic test this next week. Hopefully you guys are out killing it. And hopefully you're feeling better Adam.

I am feeling much better. Unfortunately, my MIL had emergency surgery last week and has been in the hospital recovering ever since. My parents will be in town on the 16th. I will taking a four day weekend and doing some hunting then if I cannot get out before then.

I went for a still hunt this morning between 9 am - Noon. This is a spot I scouted back on opening day. Last time I scouted, I came in from the north. This time I came in from the south and still hunted to the back side of a ridge that I suspected was buck bedding. I confirmed that suspicion today. It took me three hours to cover 0.6 miles. I found another deer trail leading to the back side of the ridge, two distinct rublines, and a total of over 15 rubs. No active scrapes in the area.I have no doubt that I stalked into the bedroom. The wind was perfect and there was a light rain off and on all morning. Nobody was home, but it was fun. I kept thinking it was just a matter of time before I spotted one bedded. Secondary rut is kicking off and bucks are still making sign.

Had to cut my season short early. Picked up more work and havent had any days or weekends off for about a month. Doubt I make it back out unfortunately.

Well, that sucks about not hunting, but hopefully the pick up in work is a good thing.

That is too bad, but, I understand. Some things are more important than hunting.
