Happy Thanksgiving all! Hope those in the woods today have great success. I’m drinking coffee and bourbon cream, reflecting on all the blessings God and life has bestowed upon me. God bless you all. That’s not just the bourbon talking

I have a few clover plots I need to get over to and hang some cameras. It’s that time again

    Good luck killers!

Im head chef and bottle washer today as my wife had foot surgery yesterday. She is already in the way (crutches hurt when she bangs it into my shin) trying to tell me how to everything. Lol.

Im even making pumpkin pies. That will be a first for me. Im not the baker in this family. Should be interesting for sure.

The worst thing about being colorblind: I don’t see red in that pic.

I sure hope it’s a good hit and you recover him for your Dad.

    Good luck!

I’d say he got both. Careful if it’s one lung and liver. What was the angle like?

He said it was broadside about 60 yards and he’s shooting from like 13 feet in the stand. I found some white hair with some of the blood so I’m thinking the exit was low.

Just caught glimpses of a deer in the timber below me. Couldn’t see antlers, but it acted like a buck scent trailing. Threw some bleats at it but it either didn’t hear or didn’t care.
Beautiful morning with a fresh couple inches of snow.
Nothing except a yearling is safe this morning.

Did he shoot it with a bow? Looks a little dark but hard to tell against the leaf. Bubbles are promising. Any idea of deer angle? Shot placement?

    That's a lot of bubbles.
Give it a couple hours then take up the track, slow and rifle at low ready.

Bam!!!! I’ve never wanted to cry over being able to kill a deer, but after what happened to me during early bow season… This one got me close! I could not be happier and she’s a pig!

We found him bedded in a brush pile can’t get a shot but he should be dead anytime. He’s barely breathing and hasn’t moved any
