    Every time I see a spotted fawn I can’t help but think that a pair of them would look so good as full body mounts standing on either side of my fireplace. I haven’t pulled the trigger yet, but it gets more tempting every year.

    I doubt they have much silverskin or sinew... Fawns, the milk veal of the cervid family.

    I let them walk, and think things would need to be rather dire for me to shoot a fawn...but to each their own.

    And yeah, not cold enough here to safely hang deer without a cooler.

    How hard is it to shoot a fawn? Do not prescribe to every deer with a bow is a trophy. Hell an arthritic old man with higher priorities can shoot a mature doe a fawn is childs play.
