Yup just get a buddy heater. 1 pounders on low works and would last you quite a while but you're better off just getting the hose to attach a 20# tank right away. I know northern tool has or at least had them on sale here recently.

Yeah pretty stoked, about the fishing and luring the grandson's parents to the lake. I can not wait to jig for pike so fun to see them come storming in.

I know but the goal is to take them out to give the walleyes a break, been talking to a few people about paying for stocking, thing is the lake association has to match not going to pay for stocking for the people that use the public landing without matching funds.

Keep in mind iffn ya don't know.
Them heaters have an automatic shutoff if oxygen gets to low.
DO NOT beat the chit out of it thinking it a p.o.c.

    Ask me how I know:sad:

Before I had kids it was back in the day before slot sizes on mille lacs I spent a lot of time ice fishing up there. Nothing better than going to bed after spending a day into the night getting propped on propane all day, you go to bed and close your eyes and you see bobbers in your dreams.

I will be live from the fish house starting Thursday afternoon. Have to make the yearly early Red Lake trip, even though it's going to be an absolute **** show zoo with way too many idiots than I like to deal with.

I put a buddy heater in my deer blind. I have it hooked up to a 30 # tank and it works great. I run it on low as well.

The reason I'm posting about this is when you run a 20 or 30# tank there is a special hose you can get where you do not have to use the filter. All other hoses recommend using a filter. I bought the special hose. It is 10' long instead of 12' long.

8-10 inches of ice. Drove the wheeler out .5 mile and walked another .5. Caught 7 kept 5.

Excellent meal for 3 guys tonight. 2 more full days of fishing. Will keep everyone updated.

Coors light makes for the best mobile ice fishing beer ha.
