Got tired of getting wet so I went for a short walk. Jumped one deer couldn’t get on it fast enough. It had a big tail and a lot of junk in the trunk. Now I’m standing at the spot where 30 yrs ago I killed my first deer. Pretty cool. The tree is no longer here that had the homemade 2x4 and plywood stand. My grandpa was with me when I killed it. He woke me up when he saw it coming haha. Hard to believe it was that long ago.

Didn’t hunt today not feeling the 60 degrees. Mildly burnt out but I’ll hunt tomorrow

Exit was paunch, shock made a mess of the guts, exit the paunch not much to see except the corn the neighbors must be running and mast. About 1" hole. 20201121_134242.jpeg 20201121_135714.jpeg

Yes it does! You're not the first to say so. Stupid gloves, but work great. Out again tonight with the .450.

@archbunk way to get it done

    @wl... congratulations

For those who sit on the ground in snow - snow camo is awesome. I haven't had a chance to wear it this season, but deer don't see me when I have it on. I can walk 200 yards across a field before they react. 20201116_190121.jpg

I was thinking about a caption for my pic:
I'm sexy and I know it!

    Is this pic better?

Live from home: No hunting for me until Dec 4th. The Jeep is out of comission from a $5k fender bender and my wife won't let me take her new Jetta.

I’ll say a prayer for you lol. I remember 2 years ago a few fuel injectors went out in my car and my mom wouldn’t let me drive her or my dads vehicle. I didn’t get to hunt almost all of Thanksgiving week, and that’s the best time to hunt around here. I know your pain

I think I figured out why I shoulder shot that buck Monday morning. I went and shot my bow today wearing the same hunting bibs, Jacket, Toboggan, Etc. I kept missing the spot about to or three inches to the right and a little high. I was dumbfounded so i shot with just a hat on BULLSEYE, and then I shot with nothing on my head BULLSEYE. None the less I figured out the Toboggan makes me anchor a bit different. So I practiced with it on and figured out how to anchor right with it on. Makes sense because every deer I’ve killed I’ve had a hat on, and the two I’ve missed this year I’ve had this toboggan and last year I missed one wearing a toboggan. I never noticed it before because I used to never Bow hunt past early November. Now I Bowhunt all season so the Toboggan is needed for colder weather. Thought I’d just tell everybody what I learnt I was doing wrong.

This is progressing into the late season. For those of us without a buck down....do you have what it takes to keep grinding?

I'm not stopping. Of course my chances to hunt will be less and those hunts will be less productive, but only way to have a chance is to keep hunting until the fat lady sings in early Jan.

Keep up or improve our shooting and keep hammering.

Didn’t see a single deer today.
Checked trail cam at my climber spot.
His neck doesn’t look swelled up at all, seems like the rut is lagging behind a bit this year.
He walked by two evenings ago about 20 min before dark.

I posted about this earlier, but I didn't hunt today because I needed a break. The 2 mile each hunt routine for 8 days straight burnt me out a bit. Not seeing very many deer hasn't helped. I don't give up easily though, and I have plenty of hunting time still ahead of me. So, the fat lady will have to wait a while to sing. :tu:
