I ended up seeing 4 does and 2 fawns, had the chase early on, and saw about a 140 on a doe 1/2 mile down the road.

Wouldn't hurt to befriend her... Bring her a little something for the Holidays when you introduce yourself. Diplomacy has it's perks.

Are you certain it was liver or best guess at seeing POI? If you center punched liver 4-5 hours should be enough(may need a follow up shot in her bed), lung and liver, same, if uncertain and got guts you could be looking at 12-18 hours.

What was her reaction after shot?

Betting you got liver, and even a slight quarter to or away could be back lung/liver. Same advice as to skylar

I saw my lighted nock go right center through liver I’m pretty certain. Dark red blood and a few bubbles. She trotted away and bedded maybe 30 yards from where she was shot.

Surprising find this morning. Shot this doe 3 weeks ago. She is alive and well. This is the exit side. Entry was a bit higher on the opposite side. Shot looked liked I smoked her when I saw entry and heard a thump. Broadhead was a nap killzone. Looks like if cut here up pretty good. Guess it just did not hit any vitals. Anyone else have something like this happen. Slight quarter away from me. Was a shot you would have thought dead deer as soon as I saw it hit. I think she will be at minimum incapacitated by 1:30 if you can muster the patience to wait it out. Only reason I would recommend going sooner is if coyote's are a big problem, but still would give 3 hours min.

I had all liver on a doe several years back and had to shoot her in her bed less than 3 hours later. She was close but at that point I didn't feel good with letting her be.

Just caught another glimpse of my doe. She had been bedded in some pines near a creek bed for the last hour (textbook gut shot behavior) then a buck came in and pushed her farther away. She is far enough now that I can get out of the tree. I’m debating between leaving and staying to hear where she is pushed to next. Feeling pretty dejected

Just remember same thing happened to me this morning and somebody else is going through this too. I’m thinking I hit liver but I’m pretty disheartened too
