Stop whining and hunt man! You're seeing deer, in the right spot, relax and you'll get it done.

    A friendly PSA

When you shut your alarms off to sleep in on an off day, you must in return turn them back on the night before you plan to hunt.

In hindsight, just remove the one day from the days the alarm should go off.

Sounds like a lot of action this morning!!!! I had a spike walk past at 20yds at very 1st light, then about 10 min ago I heard a soft grunt look round and I see 2 bucks walking away from me about 100yds in a field. I make a few grunts and bleats and the stop and look after a few seconds the continued on and I call again but this time they run in a big circle down wind from me and start heading my way. The 10p comes in to about 50yds a stops and looks for a few min then turns and starts walking away, I call again he stops looks back for 2 seconds wags his tail and walks out of my life!!!
As I was writing this almost identical thing happened again except it was a 8p and he came all the way past at 20yds!!!

Just had a single young doe come by at about 60 yds. She seemed a little nervous. Wind is swirling and it's foggy.

Just saw another doe walking across an opening about 100 yds down the ridge ... she cut across the finger into the draw.

I have nothing to lose so I just did some kind of something. I rarely ever make noise.

I just took my saw and scraped my tree and shook a limb..then soft grunted 2x. Within 1 min what I assume was a buck just pushed through the thicker stuff. Maybe just coincidence. Maybe just a doe.

Here’s a pic of the doe @LittleChief Jr. killed yesterday evening.

Also, I just got a text that he had shot an 8 point out of the tree I was in yesterday afternoon.

He said he thinks he “grazed” him but he said the buck limped off and he could see blood on the deer.

Ridgerunner and I are going to head that way in a half hour or so to check it out.

He said his arrow hit a rock after the shot and ricocheted away, so I told him to stay in the tree until we get there so he can guide us to where the buck was when he shot.

Spike just came in within 30 yards. Would have shot and had my first public land deer...but he is illegal. Needs at least 3 on 1 side. Lucky dog.
