If you didn’t see it in live from the stand here is not only my daughters first buck but her first deer ever. And she did it with the compound bow from the hang on stand! She’s 15 yes old and really took on to shooting this year. We shot s lot in the summer and a little 3D shooting and when the time came to hold her draw and wait for the shot she did and dropped this beautiful old as heck Ohio whitetail this is when she first out hands on her first deer! 218 lbs dressed Couldn’t be more proud of her! That ruger. And you don’t mess with that dog... he’s nice and you can let him but don’t get loud with anyone around him because he won’t tolerate it lol Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I’m the first generation to hunt in my family and Ive never shot one I think is “shoulder mount worthy”. But that deer... well she’s the first even in the family to get the shoulder mount... dads a little jealous haha Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
What a great memory you two have experienced. That sure is a heck of a first deer. Congrats to both of you.
Outstanding! Great buck and shows a lot of maturity and patience on your daughter's part. She will never forget this memory she made with you.
Don’t know if you guys watchers the last episode of BHOD but my daughter got a shout out from Zarr and a free hat from Todd and I got crap for forgetting the bow in the picture lol Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
It doesn’t get any better then that smile right there, she will be shooting deer long after we are all gone. However she will remember that first 1 with dad forever.
Congrats to you guys. Sure looks like a great memory that will live on year after year. Would love to see that mount when it’s finished!
Shoulder mount worthy??? That’s more like whole body mount and build on a trophy room addition to the house worthy!
