If 95F75B34-6FA3-4CAB-B7C9-1CD92B1B62C4.jpeg Had a fun evening. These two were right under me so I got these pictures with my cell phone. The bigger one is staring right at me ,but he never spooked. He finally saw a doe and trotted off. I definitely could have shot. Would love for him to survive a couple of more years.

I wouldn’t have been able to hold back. I credit you solidly on willpower. Good luck on the other one tonight.
I’m hoping to get out tonight after not planning on. Was gonna try some day sits but kids are home with me starting today since school staff shorted the school so everyone’s home for that.

Saw 13 last night. 5 bucks. No shooters. All away from me. No doe shots.

Cool looking deer preach. Good luck on the other ones above.

Well hunted public this morning and same buck came by me before sun up and then passed on 2 does. Someone else hunted like 100 yards from me where I was gonna move my set for this evening. He was rattling and didn’t even sound real so I backed out and spent time with family. This guy went by my stand before I got in it

Nothing again tonight... was hopeful before rifle but guess not. Gonna have the kids out this weekend and if no luck gonna hit a stand I’m confident in with that. Next year gotta set it up for bow. Not exactly a great season but hopefully one sit changes it

    Hey team 14,

If you happen to notice that your team score dropped by 114, it’s because I somehow added a buck killed by @trial153 to your score instead of team 16.

I’m sure you would like to have kept the points.

    Sorry about the mix-up.

Just let an arrow fly nearly a mile into public. 24 yards, looked and sounded good. Gonna be a long night. I’ll do my best to update as I can. Looked like a small 10. By the photos I’m seeing you guys would have passed but I’ve been busting my butt out here in no mans land. No pass from me tonight

Hope you find him and good luck on the drag out. Looking forward to seeing a good result.
I’m fully on your side for sending an arrow, especially at a 10 of any size :) tomorrow gonna be a family sit with rifle. I’m hoping for 3” spike or better for legal buck since rifle needs to be that. The point I’m at this year I’m not holding back at any shot I can’t legit take.

Update*** No buck YET. Waited 2 hours to track. Had good blood for 80 yards then tapered off. Clean pass through, no guts. He was quartering away when I shot, I’m thinking I hit behind front left shoulder (too far forward for quartering away) and my arrow exited out the front right of his chest, forward of right shoulder. Should be heart and 1 lung??? Hopefully. We backed out so he could bed, didn’t want to bump him. Temps got down to 44. Sitting for a couple hours this morning so my buddy can hunt them back to searching. 20 minutes post shot I heard tons of birds making racket about 100 yards from where I last saw him so, and blood was trailing that direction. Think I have a fair idea of where he might be. Wish me luck. I’ll keep ya posted

Good luck on that one for sure. Hope it works out and nice and easy now. Good thinking on easing up and letting him go down. That’s one spot I haven’t always had the patience to do. Sounds like a solid plan and idea for it, looking forward to it
I’ll be out with kids and rifle today. Cant say not a little pumped. Hour til dark and finally saw a nice buck in field yesterday. Kids would go nuts, as would I, to get a shot at him. Well see how it goes.

Good Luck Truro, always great to have time in the woods with the little ones. No luck on my end. Not giving up yet though. Wish I had $ for a blood dog.

Afternoon fellas! I see some of you have done well lately. Nice work by the way. For me have have set down the bow for the week and grabbed my 7mm mag for a little freezer filling. Hoping that this nocturnal buck on my property makes it through the week. He has been making scraps all over! Getting very excited for him to show his face. Just a small update from me. I hope you guys keep racking up the buck counts!

Yup. Just feels so off. Few years back on 13th for my kids birthday we gave him a kitty cat snowmobile. Any other year woulda been perfect. Was 70 that day. He said “this sure would be cool with snow”. Nice comeback for a 3 year old
