Ha, usually I don't go out again after I kill a deer but I think I'm sneaking in an evening hunt. Movement was pretty good this morning so hoping it will be just as good if not better tonight.
Aren't we missing a doe from dbl lung? I think that's the missing doe we've all been talking about. I could be wrong.
Thursday morning this buck walked not too far from my mock scrape. Can't really tell what he is but doesn't look too bad.

I’m going out in the mornin... One of my best friends is a dentist here in town we grew up together - he nor his wife resemble anything close to hunting lifestyles. Anyway, they’ve got a 6 year old son who’s been hounding them to ask me to take him hunting... My buddy called the other day and it was his son asking if I would take him this weekend. He doesn’t have a crossbow or anything at his age - just wants to go out and watch. So we’re going to sit in an are we’ve got blinded out in fold out chairs - I’m going to let him carry my bow in. He’s really excited I guess - I don’t know where he’s picked all this up because I only see him 5-10 times a year maybe. Looking forward to it - good luck in the morning ya all. So the house is like 150 yards from my stand. As I was coming up the drive there were 8 does, no bucks either standing or lying down in his front yard. Hoping that's an indication of what's about to come this evening. Promise, if I shoot something tonight it will have antlers, lol!!!!!
The does did their part tonight. 2 big mature does out in front of my stand, but no big boy. Back at it in the morning. Tomorrow is lucky 7.
Well my cousin just sent me this pic. He killed the buck I called Super 8. A 3.5 year old. Was really hoping to see him at 4.5-5.5, but we'll never know now. That's the problem with the family farm. I'm not mad he got him, but I'm the one that puts in all the time out there and I have 2 cousins that basically only hunt the rut and this is now the 3rd time over the years they've taken one of the bucks I've either been after or was hoping would grow a little more.
So are we really missing a doe? I guess we can PM those we know that aren't showing any does on the team and see if we do have one missing.
