I’m with you there. If he didn’t have that collar on things would’ve probably ended a lot differently for him. Luckily so far he has stayed out of the woods and kept to that field on the corner of the property which I only really hunt on days with a NE wind and the leaves are too dry and crunchy for me to get into my better stand for NE wind unnoticed. NE wind is fairly uncommon around here and 9 times out of 10 when we do get them they come in after a front that brings rain that wets down all the leaves so I can get to my better stand. Regardless, trapping season just opened yesterday so I’ve still got a bunch of traps I haven’t got set out on my traplines yet and I’m going to take a few MB-550’s that I modded for 4 coil out there this evening and make a few sets for him. Those are some bad motherf**kers when it comes to catching coyotes (or stray dogs in this case) so I will be extremely surprised if I don’t have him caught by tomorrow morning.

I found a big boys scrape and rub. Time to get in them with some dominant buck urine and forehead gland scents and really piss him off. Battling 30-45 mph winds for the next 2 days.

    FIFY

Team 10 is an equal opportunity team. Age based discrimination is still discrimination... you saw my trophy fawn, didn’t you? It was the biggest damn 7 month old doe I’ve ever seen. Even the button bucks and tasty two pointers were afraid to spar with her.

Shot this guy at 4:00pm yesterday. Also got a few pictures before I decided if I was going to shoot him or not. I have to score him yet.

Man good goin guys. I sat dawn to dusk yesterday and saw 1 doe running through the woods about 230 3 o'clock...oh and a chipmunk. Brutal day but it's much less windy this morning finally. Gonna test my ass conditioning again today hopefully it's a little more exciting.

I don't think my tape measure is long enough to score a beast like that.

Not the dog I was hoping to get but one dead coyote is always better than no dead coyotes...

Just saw 2 big 8-10 point bucks chasing a single doe across a field. Hadn’t originally planned on hunting this evening but now I’m on my way back to the house to quickly get changed and head out.

I’m up. Sitting a spot I haven’t been to yet this year that I call old faithful. I always seem to have good luck on this little piece in suburbia.

I’m pretty sure he is a little bigger than the doe I got last week.

I finally got a chance to put a tape to my buck and it scores right at 155". I will try and add it to the scorecard tonight.

I'm still in Kansas, doing some scouting and pulling some stands, I'm not sure if I'm going to leave tomorrow or Friday. I've been doing some glassing and have been seeing some bucks cruising, but its warm and I'm sure its suppressing some movement. I haven't seen anything bigger than the one I killed yet. So I guess thats probably a good thing.
