Let's see the best picture you feel you have of a bowkilled deer I really like great pics with hunter n prize.
I think this is my favorites. Shot this buck the morning before MN gun season a few years ago. Never seen so much buck activity as I did that morning and I really doubt I'll ever see one like it again. I know I seen at least 20 bucks. I shot this one (thinking) it was a 145ish buck that was coming back minutes after passing by to fast for a shot. This is right where he died. The rub behind me is on a 6" basswood tree.
Although I'm not in this pic I always liked it. From 2016 bow kill. Me and my buddy was tracking and this is what we walked up on. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
This is my first buck up in Alberta. It was a dream of mine as a kid to get to the Edmonton Bow Zone, and I ended up going there 5 times. I hunted dark to dark for 5 straight days in a foot of snow with temps in the low 20's before I killed him on my next to the last day of my hunt. He weighed 300lbs!
These are my best two photos. 1st photo 10/11/2020 Myrtle Beach SC, 8 yard shot. 2nd photo 11/4/2017 Mid Central MD, First buck after 11 years of hunting, shot 25 yards broadside.
On this day my son sat with me in the stand. We had a one man ladder set up so I strapped a hang on 90 degrees on the tree so we could both sit there. This was his first rut experience and it was an action packed day.
This wasn't my biggest buck to date but he was old and wise. Took some doing to figure him out and it was a season that I had a lot of time to do it. 12 yard broadside shot, he ran about 40 yards and piled up. The second pic is the piebald who 2 weeks later came in the same way and offered me the same shot. Unfortunately my buddy could not make it out to help take pics.
This is my favorite picture, and my motivation. This is my dad and the buck that started it all for me. 1985, I was 9 years old. He shot it in the same woods that I hunt in today. I know I’ve posted this before quite a few times, but like I said this is what drives me.
First 8 pter after hunting for 15 years. Yes it took me 15 years to kill a 8 pter. First decent sized buck two years later. First recurve deer.
This buck was on his way downwind of me. I had some Wildlife Research trails end in my pocket. I took a twig or bark and poured some on it and threw it upwind of me( crosswind to him). He turned when he smelled it and came in on a string. The shot was close. 8_9 yards maybe?
