Tagged out this morning. I burp grunted and this guy came in. Dusted him at about 12 yards. Ran about 20 yards and tipped over. I am not the most accurate shot and so jumped on that ranch fairy bandwagon and sure am glad I did. 580 grains blew through this guys shoulder and and shot out his neck

Congrats on the kill! Buck points are the ticket, we're rolling! :tu:
I'll be checking my cams tomorrow, been two weeks, so hoping to see a shooter. I'll be hunting from next week, right on through the rut. :nana:I'm overdue for a buck, but if it isn't something I would mount, I won't kill it. I'd sooner kill a doe.

Nice one Jensen! Congrats. Nice buck and sounds like worked out great for the kill.
I jumped up to around 590 grains as well, up from 384 few years back. Have to say big fan of what the mass can do on a hit as well. These are the times it makes the difference.

Checked my cams yesterday. Only had a 6pt with tall brows, a spike, and a few does. I did find a brand new scrape 40yrds from my tree. I'll start my hunting tomorrow, despite not having optimum wind direction. I'll rationalize that by saying, they can come from any direction during the rut. :tu:

Good work fellas! Haven't been out. Should get out this week or weekend. Winds aren't cooperating with my schedule right now, but it is time to get out. Might have to put up a stand for these winds that don't gel with what I have up now.

Good luck out there. Hope to check cams and try to move them to scrapes to get better pics. My two scrapes that have been around for years have no branches anymore so I've been trying new spots for cameras. Not much luck yet.

Moved cameras to scrapes. Saw a decent buck locked down with a doe today. Got a tree stand put up. This weekend is a bust. I’m now trying to hunt Thursday night. Friday morning. Sunday night. 20-30mph winds Saturday and Sunday with gusts higher. Our farm isn’t good for wind.

    Good luck.

My wife decided we were coming to Florida to visit our son. Home in a day or two. I have all day every day to hunt from halloween to November 19. Getting some good movement on my cell cameras. We’ll see...

Was out Wed evening. Saw just two deer, an 8pt and either a 4 or 6pt, depending on if it had brows. I hope to see the 8pt again for a better look. I think I'll be getting out again Sat.

Good luck mongo. Hope you get a shot. I was out last night. Felt like perfect night but nothing besides a rabbit kept me company by my stand the whole sit. Getting frustrated but still time. Next Saturday rifle starts. Might grab a tag for a few different stands that don’t work for bow. Well see.
