Yes it is! There's alot of things they do that are crazy but the crazy thing to me is how they are able to obtain permission on these places.

I haven't heard of it, I'll have to check it out.

Reminds me of the hunting show on TV a few years back called chasing tail. Believe it or not, it took place in CT. Nowhere near where I hunt, LOL! southwest CT, near NY in urban areas. Lots of deer, no decent bucks though, and kinda cheesy!

Not many people hunt in those areas and I would bet most everyone who does give them permission sees deer as a nuisance. That’s my only guess because I thought the same thing.

Dude. You are in the action today! You at Bell Slough? I drove by there today and saw where it’s at finally. It looks nice!

I remember that show. It was more like some sort of reality show. And you're right, it was very cheesy

2 more fawns on the trail the first one took. Didn’t see mom.

She’s just a little slow today. Just came through.

Been on stand since 4:00. Haven’t seen a thing so I spent some time updating the scorecard thread.

One hour until dark. Something needs to start moving here.

I have only experienced that when it was very cold. I always keep a plastic film vile with some vaseline in it for potential noise situations like that. You might think putting vaseline on a traction belt would make it unsafe, but those belts still stay secure in the lugs as long as you have proper length. It only takes a very little to quiet them down. Other than that, I've had zero noise issues with my sit and climb.

Just had an encounter with a nice shooter. Took the trail the does did but was coming my way. Got to 50-60 in the thick stuff and wouldn’t commit. Got me shaking.

Was really feeling it tonight. 20 minutes in and I had a doe run through and stop just on the other side of brush. I prepared. Then heard something blow and come running/crashing through. A big beautiful heavy 8 point. Running 10 yards behind me. Said doe wanders off with him.....then here come three people walking through PRIVATE/POSTED land

They shot a deer in the morning and were tracking it. They didnt have permission from the right person (neighbor gave it) as my friend, his son and my husband are currently on an elk/mule deer hunt. Yep, deer was dead 50 yards from the stand in the thick brush just off the field. They tracked it over a mile.

I was so mad. My hunting luck stinks. I despise this state, too. Noone in this area respects others even on posted land.

Needless to say. My hunt ended less than an hour into it.

I was so upset. I left. Pretty sure they ruined anything else coming in. Especially since they gutted it right there.

Last year private land and landowner let target shooters on....not good.
