Nothing for me this evening, didn't even see a deer. I think that spot is killer, just need to figure out how to hunt it. The thermals killed me tonight. As soon as the wind stop, it just poured into the bedding. It's going to be a tricky spot to figure out.

Holy crap, work is kicking my arse. Now getting off work at 6:00 rather than 4:30 and missing everything in the thread "live".

Went from things looking slow end of this year and into first quarter next year, to balls to the walls boys, we're slammed for the next 5 months.

I'm on 12 hour shifts until further notice, working OT Fri and Sat and double time Sunday, which is fine because I need the money for my rutcation.

Had surgery back in August and they forced me to cash out vacation that was accrued to go on FMLA leave, so heading into my rutcation I'll only have 35 hours to take off 60 hours of work. Have a feeling they are going to try to deny a portion that I will be taking off unpaid.

With all this talk of an early rut it is haunting me on when to take guaranteed time off. Although, I put in my time off request on January 2nd, so that is my leverage to have it all off. if 11 months notice is not enough then what is?

I'm going to sit the other side and anticipate the thermals. Don't think I could get in there in the morning with spooking deer.

Not sure. I think I can hunt tomorrow morning then not again until next week. Going to be 0 wind again which sucks and about 60 degrees. If I can get up at 430am Ill head to some acorns before they bed.

That's definitely a definite. Right now it is

    November 4th thru the 15th.

Worst case scenario I would have to give up 2 days, the 4th and 5th or two days the 9th - 12th.

    Weekends are safe(Fri-Sun).
