Saw 2 doe and a fawn before rain settled in. Got a ladder stand hung for my uncle for when he visits later in November. Back on stand Friday afternoon through Sunday night! Grind is about to start.
Thought I got skunked and as soon as my feet hit the ground one small buck popped out of the field. Then ran away. Was too dark to figure out what I was Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums

So I decided to dig a little deeper on the whole tracking dog issue tonight. Long story short, I found someone within an hour of here that is a relatively new tracker and he doesn't charge anywhere near what I've found in the past. It was one of those conversations where you just know this is the kind of guy ya want to deal with. After a 25 minute conversation I am sold. Next time I don't see one go down in sight, I'm calling Craig and his beagle. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
The Hunting Public just posted a good video on youtube where they brought in a dog - he got lucky and didn’t need the dog but it was a good example of how backing out and calling the right resources to come in and help should work... Around here is similar with dogs - just too darn expensive. I’m yet to find anyone close and affordable to help.
That episode is what motivated me to do some more digging and call around actually. Me and the tracker talked a bit about THP and Ranch Fairy. He wanted to know my arrow and broadhead set up and went on about ole Troy and heavy arrows.
