I bought my Mathews Vertix a week before the season last year I think... Don’t regret it one bit 3-3 with that thing. A buck and 2 yotes - I wouldn’t particularly consider myself a great shot but that thing has really helped me.

I’m hunting tonight. Been spitting rain all night. Movement is completely shut down. I could probably slide on outta here and call it good. But if I can get a shot at a doe I will gladly oblige.

Next hunt tomorrow night or Friday night. Hope ya all have a great week!

Oh here is from earlier this week on my other propert:

Plenty of prospects - no giants and all nocturnal right now.

I'm getting the Halon from Mudshark. I have always loved my HeliM but looking forward to this.

    If
If your a bow hunter with any amount of time under your belt you have probably lost at least one or more deer. Yes, it truly sucks and you hate when it happens. Just get back out there and get some redemption. Who knows, maybe you'll get another crack at him.

Yessir, I have lost a few over the years for sure. Oh I'll be back for redemption and have other places to hunt as well. I think I'll see him again and odds are not in his favor on round 2. I love this game too much to sit out too much time. I'm thinking that buck was one i passed twice last year and he is a home body. There is no better bedding remotely close. I just have to leave it alone for a while.

I’m back and feeling better boys, also feeling aggressive. Think I may be hitting the woods Wednesday morning and any evenings I can get in. A lot of buck activity in the mornings right now.

First day of bear hunt, nothing. 10 hunters are here at the lodge. 4 bears were spotted by other hunters. So far no bear or deer have been shot. We'll see what day 2 brings tomorrow?

I'm still about a week out from getting aggressive... But once I do I will stop at nothing!

I will be banging the horns. I've got some pretty deep stands that haven't been hunted yet. I might do a hang an hunt if necessary. I've also got a decoy that I've yet to ever use that I might even break out if necessary. Owned the thing for 3 years now and haven't touched it.

I really want to shoot a 150"+ buck this year (who doesn't). Problem is - I think I've only got maybe 1 or 2 on camera that touches that #. Soooo I am not sure how selective I will be once November hits.

Just saw my first bear at 8:40. About 150 yards out. Unfortunately it never came any closer.

I assume you have shot the Halon? Can you compare it to the Heli. Depending on what new bows mathews throws out in the mix I may still stay with the Heli yet another year.

Well I think I might get out and hunt tonight and try and beat the rain... I wasn't planning on hunting tonight but I might make it work.

I’m in the stand, snuck a hunt in. It’s hot, woods are opening up tho and it’s loud. Been a while since I’ve been here. Let’s see what the deer are doing
