didn't hunt today- My number 1 hunting rule is never hunt a PM shift in anything more than a mist, there was steady rain all day and going to into overnight as well. Good luck @Ridgerunner3 ; blood looks great for a hit you thought might be low- low lungs usually = short blood trails.
Well this guy has taken more twists and turns. Bout 100 yards on the track and losing light Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Damn, knew something may be amiss when I got to bottom of page and only 1 page behind. Any thoughts as to gut feelings on it? Was he quartered enough or close enough it could have been single lung?
Steady. It's really thick in here and loaded with coyotes. I'm just now losing blood. May have to back out. Smh. Maybe 1 lung. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I agree with that after 100 yds. Come back in 2 hrs and light up the ground with a bright light. Just my simple opinion.
Perfectly broadside and shot felt great. Obviously something didn't go right. Bout 300 yards into the track. No bed. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Couple of frosts didn't do it, this thread didn't do it, seeing the calendar flip to October didn't do it. Took the garbage out tonight for tomorrow's pick up and was a steady dreary cold rain. That did it, it felt like deer season for a change and my anxiety has started to sink in. Gathering all of my hunting stuff tomorrow after work and grtting everything accounted for, washed up and packed. Halloween weekend is still the firet anticipated sick but I'm actually feeling it now, think I am going to early vote over the next week(in person) and put all things non deer aside. That said, I won't be missing a cold rain sit should it occur on my rutcation or a day off. Maybe it's my sign....
