I got tied up with a customer friday afternoon and didnt get to the farm till just after dark, pulled the feeder cam sd card and popped it in to the lap top when I got home , well guess who was there friday eve at 7:28 with plenty of shooting light right in front of the stand, 2 of My hit listers the wide 8 and Nudder buck, a 3 yo tall 8

Not a bad opening weekend for me. Saw 3 does Saturday morning and a decent 8 Sunday morning probly around 125-130 inch. Gunna be pretty busy with my new house for a bit but I’ll try to get out when I can. This Saturday looks promising with the weather so we’ll see.
Put in vacay request for Friday. I usually save all my time for late oct, nov but I’m chomping at the bit and this weather is looking so good. I’ll be headed to some public where I’ve had a ton of great encounters with nice bucks. I was holding out for 2 different bucks last year that were absolute brutes but this year I’ll take anything mature. I’m hoping these 2 are still alive. Didn’t get cams out there this year. These are from last year. They’re not the best pics but I got to see both of them while on stand and trust me when I say they make your heart start doing funny things even at 100 yds away
Some good looking deer from your trail cameras. I went out today and cut down a broken limb that was hit from another falling tree. The limb was hanging 1o yards from my stand right in a shooting lane. Didn’t pull trail camera card today. Did a couple weeks ago and only had does. I don’t usually start seeing buck traffic until end of October. Looking to put down a doe this weekend

My brother in law is starting to worry we’re not going to be on any deer bc the Busch light limited edition orange cans aren’t out yet. If we don’t see anything, at least I can blame it on that .
Ill be in the stand this weekend in Southern Illinois, back to back cold fronts on opening weekend. I checked cameras they are set on video(the pictures aren't the best but he's got potential, I'll upload better ones when I head back home) but this guy showed up out of nowhere. Think he might swing back through one of these afternoons I'm 20ft high!
I ended up seeing nothing from stand last night which was kinda odd, it seems that the deer moved early toward destination food. I won’t be out tonight as I have commitments at the FD. I will most likely be out tomorrow though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Happy October boys! Getting in a quick hunt tomorrow evening, then hunting all weekend! So pumped!!!!!!!!!
