I used to be the same way. Then I retired. Before, I always replaced my Slick Trick blades, but I never threw the old ones away. As a result I have somewhere around $400 - $500 worth of old Slick Trick blades in the tackle box where I keep such things. Cantexian is correct about this style of sharpener. You can get them resharpened to an edge that is sharper than they were out of the package, and for Slick Tricks that is SHARP.
