    Welcome katts.
Much chance at a biggie on that property?

VS, some of my best stands are by canoe.
Love sneaking in the backdoor into a bedding area during a morning rut hunt.

Hey Guys! What a busy week! Spent last week in UP bear camp! My cousin had neck surgery in august so I ran his bear bait for him. He got a good one second night. My boys bear season starts next week. In between I have recovered 3 deer with the dog for youth hunters. Lots of things going on thats for sure! Here are some pics! 20200914_104029.jpg 20200910_235027.jpg 20200912_231352.jpg 20200913_212922.jpg 20200914_104029.jpg

The one with my 6 yr old son we watched go down. I let J man track it with Sarge. They are buddies. The two gut shot were both deer we got called to come track. The full velvet had been grid searched over twice. Sarge had me wihin 25-30 yds the first line out. Reset and he took me right to him. He other gut shot they had lost blood sarge took us past last blod 125 yds or so to the buck. Fun stuff

When younger, I would have quit my job if not allowed to hunt archery opener.
    Now, meh.
I can and will get burnt out as I age.

Would rather spent the time in a tree from mid Oct on.

When I was younger, I took my job with IDNR so I could hunt more. After 31 years, it was the best decision I ever made. Picked up more private property to hunt and got to spend more time out in the field.
Now that I’m retired, it’s still paying dividends.
Don’t know that I’ll ever get burnt out, it recharges my soul. The body will probably give out before the spirit does.

If we don’t have a solid name yet, my I suggest DEER TEAM 6.

Virginia Shadow suggested team Siex (it's in his avitar) I'm fine with that.

Andrew said he'd play Capt but didn't really want to.
Anyone one else wanna step up?

Do you think it would take alot of training to turn a dog into a blood tracker? I've got a cousin with some young hounds, one of them (2-2 1/2yr+ old) that look to be promising. He says he's not scared of the hogs that come close to the home. I would love to use him as tracker, when searching for lost game.

I’m hoping to head out of work early enough on Friday to get a couple hours on stand and will then sit Saturday too. Can’t wait to get back for some tree stand therapy...hopefully have a deer walk out in front of me too!
