No deer came through this morning. Was a nice one with some cooler temps for sure. Looking at getting back in stand again in the morning. It's bound to happen eventually. Get em boys!

Feeders markers are corn fields and the silage pit atv is the path i took roughly deer is the buck red line from the buck is roughly his escape path camera is the camera now and where ive hung my climber to hunt last year i know im answering my own question, im going to hang a stand in there but should i do it now or go in on the first day i can with the climber. hate to fumble around in the dark...???????????????
You get the right wind and you go in and hunt him. He will come back and bed safely - you’re ATV didn’t run over him based on the story so he surely still feels safer now than he did before. Lol Honestly - if it’s a swampy area maybe you can hang an observation stand on the outer edge to see if you can catch him coming or going? But if you think you know how he comes and goes then make a move and try and kill him. I’d probably wait for perfect conditions though. You can either go hunt on top of him or you can hunt your way in since you’ve got a climber. Be thinking - if he’s bedding here where else in the general area might he bed this time of year. Secondary bedding now that you bumped him might be the better first set up. But sounds like you’re in his core area.
Nothing but a long hike and some new bruises. Crossed through some area earlier, I know nobody in there right mind has been through in years... Topo line can some times be deceiving. Probably 50 degree slopes, fortunately I found an old mining trench/sluice. A lot of deer scat, some old elk tracks so far.

All setup! Went to a white oak grove that has some hoof scratches on the ground right near an edge of mountain laurel. Let’s see what happens!!
