Even though it’s a little too close to the start of the season, I finally did it...I got myself a new bow! Been looking and shooting different ones all summer and my local shop had a great deal on the one I liked so I went for it. Ended up getting the Hoyt Carbon RX-4, this is a huge step up from my last bow which was over 12 years old! Can’t wait to get out and sight this bad boy in.
Congrats. As much as I'd like a new Hoyt, I just can't wrap my brain around the price? My 10 year old bow is gonna hafta do.
Sitting on the cabin deck checkin in. Got a sirloin on the grill, some sweet peppers frying and a can of Bush's baked bean warming. Typing this betweens swinggs of ice cold beer. Checked cans today. A few decent younger bucks that may go 130ish but a couple pics of a weird looking (I think) 4x4. I need a few more pics of him to determine is age structure. Ain't a high scoring buck but if he's an older deer, I'm gonna whack him Edited to add.. I'm not holding out for a better scoring rack for my team. I like older bucks regardless of score. I hope you fellas do what YOU want to do also
Berwick, what part of NW PA do you live? My wife had a job up there in 2013. I was still working in VA, but traveled up there and hunted some public lands. Had a great time hunting that one season around Indiana, PA.

Our season starts this Saturday in MN as well. I’m hoping to get out for at least one evening sit. Anyone have any good bucks on trail camera?
Just checked a couple cams today in Mn. Nothing eye popping but do have a cool looking 4x4 that looks older. Lots of new bucks showing up that could be great in a couple years. I prefer age over score. We have quite a few older bucks that have never and most likely not hit 140.

I was going to make the replacements tomorrow morning, but I will be on stand until about 10:00 and then I will be driving home, so I'm making the replacements tonight.
