Whoa! I'm out a week and the team thread is already 9 pages deep! Looks like I've got some catching up to do! If you hadn't heard, I got married a week and a half ago, and was in Colorado for the honeymoon all of last week... But I'm here now, and it looks like we're all checked in.
Here's a little about me: I live in Northern Illinois and work for Bowhunting.com behind the scenes. I'm the social media manager and I help produce the show as well as any other videos we do. I've been hunting my whole life and shot my first deer with a bow when I was 12. The last few years haven't been too kind to me, but I was able to tag a doe in Wyoming last year to somewhat get the monkey off my back. I've got one main 40 acre private piece that my dad has hunted since the early 90's. One of my relatives just moved to house with about 35-40 acres on it that I'll also be hunting a little this year. And I also have a nice 100 acre section that I just checked out for the first time on Monday. This year however, I'll mostly be filming my wife (feels weird to say that since we just got married) this year, trying to get her first buck, and hopefully get her on the show. I'm excited for this season because there's been a solid 4 year old 10 running around our 40 acre spot, and he was quite photogenic last season as a 3 year old. Hopefully I can get a crack at him this year, or at least get eyes on him. Our new bigger spot this year also has a few nice bucks in the area, but honestly, I'll probably settle for the first decent racked buck that comes by!
Congrats on the wedding. We tried to vote you in captain using the last one in gets the short end of the stick method hahaha. Anyway, I let littlechief know we’re all accounted for and don’t need any alternates.
Haha, I saw that! So I was captain for what, a day or two? That's gotta be a record for shortest amount of time as captain!
My plans for KY fell through this year due to work. Was going to go to Pennyrile and Clark’s River Refuge. Whereabouts you headed?
