    Got my rest timing issues taken care off. Zeroed in at 20-60 yards today and put the correct yardage tape on my sight. Also checked cameras and did some final stand prep. Season starts in Arkansas September 26.

    I'm getting in the groove shooting my bow after three years hunting with a crossbow due to a shoulder injury. I shot 8" groups at 60 yards yesterday. Just need to tighten that up a little. I very excited about this season.

    Well guys, ive been up in northern WI fishing over this past looong weekend. Heading home tomorrow. Fishing was good & limited on walleyes & caught a few ginormous crappie & gills! Finally found the perch jackpot as well! Ok back to serious business now- bow opener this weekend![​IMG][​IMG]

    That's some good eating there Junior! Headed out to Colorado tomorrow morning at 3am for our annual elk hunt. Looking forward to getting away from the office for 11 days. It's been a long tough year and I'm going to enjoy this.

    Nice haul on the fish man! Looks tasty!

    Good luck elk hunting too! I passed on a Montana hunt this year because of work stuff. Got one last year though so that makes it a little easier to take.

    That's awesome! Congrats! Was able to get one last year as well. The amount of effort and miles put into elk hunting makes every elk harvested a trophy in my book. elk.jpg

    Absolutely man! It was by far the hardest but most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. Unbelievably hard but man the stories will last a lifetime

    Checking in as well from NE Texas. Out of our 100 days allowed in Texas I’ll be the stand at least 85 of them. Will also travel to Oklahoma and Kansas to fling an arrow. Nothing big on camera yet. But around the 3rd week of October it will get real serious real quick.

    Wow! Nice elk trophies! I tried a few years ago in Colorado...was beautiful countryside & a great time but was also unseasonably warm. Saw 3 bulls one afternoon & my hunting partner took a shot while i spotted. We figured we were a long ways away but didnt realize how far...was over 1200 yards which is as far as my range finder goes. He was only about 3 feet to the right of the biggest bull. Probably a good thing we didnt tag out that afternoon,the walk up to the meadow was about 4 hrs! Ill get back out there again one year
