Hey guys checking in! I hunt all over western Ky mostly public but have access to some small private tracts. Got some decent ones on camera. I’ve been in a few of these contests and never even placed I Hope this is the year Lol As far as names go, I kinda like Four play but It doesn’t matter to me. My season opens up in the morning here in Ky. I’ve been counting the days!!
I’ve got a couple 140’s and 130’s I’ve killed with a bow. This year I’d REALLY like to bust that 150 Mark with a bow. I’ve got some real nice 3 1/2 year olds I could kill but they just aren’t what I want to shoot unless it gets down to the end of season. I’m definitely good for a doe. I usually put up 4-5 deer myself. Actually have a buddy coming down from Iowa in about a week. I took off two weeks vaca to try and get him on a good buck as well.
I’m thinking about 130, what do y’all think? This is on public, might put my buddy on this one. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
1. Uncertain Tines / Hindsight 2020 2. Sept 12/WI; Oct 1/MI. Possibly others. 3. No idea. There are 170+ running around my areas in both MI and WI. The MI is public and the big boys are mostly nocturnal until rut. WI is such a ****show this year b/c of drought I don't have any idea of what to expect. I have been hunting the same general area in MI for I think 15 years now. Never shot a real big buck although they are there- my old man shot a 187" in rifle in 09 and we get 150+ all the time on camera but always at night. My cousin shot 2 125+ there last year. I am going to go deep into the river bottom/swamp this year. I was on a ridgetop last season and I was watching a ton of decent bucks run the river's edge about 150-200 yards from me from one thicket to the other. I can use my yak to get there. Early fortune favors the worm. Right?
140" From Up Here/ Uncertain Tines NJ runs from Sep 12-Feb 19. VT runs from Oct 1 to Dec 15. NJ has some decent bucks. I'll be looking for a 120-140. There are bigger but I only have so much time to hunt. VT I'd be lucky to shoot a 100, big boys are rare in the center part of the State. Im good for a Doe too.
Won’t be very active over the next 13 days leaving for Montana on Saturday Camping and fishing the whole week was suppose to be in June
Also not sure but teams I have been on in the past have done a group me as well as the forum to keep everyone in the loop easier totally up to you guys
Just curious, but how far are you from Mayfield, KY? My brother lives there and I'm staying at his house now while hunting farmland just south of Farmington, KY.
I already PMd them and when you do the "@membername" it hyperlinks them and when someone does that for you, you get a notification same as if you get a "like". ...Frustrating.
