That's it,save a few tweaks. Pull strings for Windows a bit more weather proofing foot rests and shelves. Coat and gear hangers. The curtains up. View from door windows and one sibe window . Oh reminds me,battery light for lower wall. .
I collected wood from here n there for a few years and built this one for My farm here in Georgia, No brackets, not cemented in the ground, its held down with 1/4" steel cables and rebar drove in the ground , its sitting on cement pavers , only things I bought were the treated 2x4s for the ladder and leg braces , the 4x4 post for the legs , the cable and a few boxes of wood screws. I camo'ed it with spray paint and a old artificial Christmas tree . total investment was less than 200 bucks
Hope to get this one up and closed in this weekend. Got the platform base already set out in the woods. Walls are are disassembled and onsite. Just need to skin the walls with sheeting, reinstall the windows and finish the roof. I built it from my lumber pile left overs, I will end up buying $200 of sheeting, but that will be my total cost. Hope to get pics when its finished. The build pics.

Today I got that door window finished and is clear shooting for all weapons. It rain as I worked..so nice, all dry....I just need use it at just the right times.
Well all my good help abandoned me yesterday. I guess the pull of cookouts and cold ones was to great! LOL I should have expected that! I ended up working about 3 1/2 hours by myself yesterday and boy was it a pain trying to move to position the walls so I could get them skinned in plywood and covered with a camo tarp. Manage to get ONE done.. At this rate the rut will be here when I get finished! 3 hours work results
Looking good. Now this is not a criticism, ONLY a question. Ever consider using 2x2's for framing? I always use 2x2's even with the heavy weather proof plywood blind. The 2x2's do not twist or warp as some guys swore would happen and I can easily handle the wall sections plus for the cost make 2 frames. I'm in a high snow load area and never had an issue
It doesn't take long if in right place even with shorter ones. Yesterday I had tweaked my skeeter curtains and went out to insall them. I had to do a few nails and as I was hammering movement caught my eye. A flock of turkey were strolling by to a trail plot that drops to the gully they could have cared less. Lol. I have pics on my phone I'll post later. Nice job good luck.
Let's see- you were hammering and didn't spook the turkeys? Seems like you are all ready for a fall or spring turkey season.
Yep and I was moving around in the blind window, surprised me! The green spot they went to was a small wbrite clover area. I took my spring turkey from this blind. Note all the dropped and hinged trees. They love climbing around on them.
So, 2010 I made my first blind. A packing crate cardboard and camo tarp, siding and roof. Today it got it's first roof replacement. I cut a piece of rubber roofing for a floor in the new "gypsy" blind. There was a piece let at the end of the roll of roofing. I cut this off even and realized it looked like the same size as the crate blind. ..perfect fit!. That is a gun, crossbow stand, though I did shoot a compound bow doe from its deck one year. Just 2 more stands to check. Two ladders to re rung. Then to go check access to the swamp ladderstand. Running late but all these are late Oct - Early Nov. stands.
High winds and 3 days of rain. Now 76 and sunny with high winds.. need to caulk the new blind better but concidering not bad. Here's some inside pics and window coverings. That fleece blocks winds well in cold weather and keeps light in blind down. Rubber floor will dry fast,I stapled it up the walls and seal to keep any wet from decking . Though no pics on cam since the 10th
