Didn't see one for PA yet so decided to start ours. Whats up guys, I'm Garrett. This year I will mainly be hunting Lawrence county (1A) and a little in beaver county (2A). Excited to get the season started and hopefully see some nice keystone state buck!

Hello Garrett. I’m Scott”happy”I too am very excited for the season to get rolling. Looking forward to the extra week and Sunday that the game commission decided to give us. I hunt a small private farm in southern Lancaster county 5B. Been good to me over the years. Not too many giant bucks seen on the property but they roll through on occasion. Last year was one of those years.im generally not a trophy hunter but since I got a descent one last year maybe I can hold out for something bigger than my norm. Gonna be tough!! I get excited over pretty much any deer. Looking forward to seeing how pa can stack up against other states. Hopefully I can help team out but not promising a monster

What’s up guys! My name is Tyler, hunting SW Pa. I have my eyes on some big ones in some Urban areas. The urban area comes in 9/19 so I’m gonna try and get a big one on the ground early. I also have a farm I hunt outside of the urban area which has some solid deer on it. Looking forward to hearing what you all are seeing throughout the state and rut activity.

My son is going to school at Robert Morris by Pittsburg. You mentioned urban hunting I know that from visiting there a few times there are some monsters in moon township by his campus. Looked out hotel window last year when we were there in middle of November and saw a giant tailing a doe in the yard out back of hotel. Couldn’t have been more than 2 acres of the thickest crap around. Nothing but businesses and hotels.

I live 2B so my season comes in the 19th as well, however I don’t have many spots to hunt in the urban areas, unfortunately. I have 100+ acres of farmland that I will be hunting this year and so far looks promising with some of the buck I’ve seen.

Knock on doors, I have access to chunks all over Allegheny county, you’ll be surprised how many home owners hate deer. Especially in the big money areas where they have pristine lawns.

As you can see, I've been around here for quite a while. I'm Jeff from Montgomery county, but I hunt Delaware county (5D). Been hunting there for about 18 years. I seem to be able to kill a doe every year, bucks, not so much. lol I do get an opportunity at a legal buck each year, but since I've shot my share of basket 6pts, 8pts, and 10pts, I hold out for something bigger than what I've taken. I just love being in the woods, period. :tu:

    • Hey guys, I'm Josh, 24 from NEPA as well, up near Scranton. I'm hunting in 3C . I've seen some decent 8 pointers on the property here, we will see if they stick around come Oct though.

Checking in. I hunt public land around Rickets Glen, Francis Slocum, and toward Hickory Run. I live in Dallas, PA. Will be targeting a doe early season, then giant bucks first week of Nov.

Adam - I think it took me just as long. I'm 41 now and only arrowed 3 buck. Passed on a lot of them though! 2 complete misses and one non-recover (I was 13 and it was the first deer I ever shot at).
