Has anyone tried this new item from Spypoint? It is suppose to make most manufactures non cell camera a cell camera. Interested and looking for someone who has tried it.

I have heard lots of mixed reviews on it and the picture quality it sends but haven’t tried it yet

Heard lots of mixed reviews and ended up getting a TactaCam Reveal Cell Cam $99. They are great!

I have one and so far it seems to work pretty well. I have it paired with a Browning Strike Force and while the day pics are ok, the night pics leave a little to be desired. It definitely does not transmit the quality of pic I would get from the camera directly. But it does work and if your goal is to just see what's there, it accomplishes that. Here's the only pic I have saved right now. Unfortunately I deleted the rest.[IMG]

Here's a night pic from that unit. Kinda milky looking but you can tell what it is.[IMG]

Wondering if anyone has tried this on public land? I want to get some so I don’t have to keep walking in and out on my public land spot. Thoughts ?

There isn't any reason they why they wouldn't work along as there's cell service. The main problem you face on public land is theft. I looked on the camlockbox website and they have a security box for it that will be available soon.

I'm running 2 and have a buddy running 4. All seem to be working better with the latest firmware and Spypoint app update. One issue I ran into was a couple cameras pinched the cord and pulled it out of the SD card slot. Put it on a Stealth DS4K and haven't had an issue.

I have one and its alright but i am not thrilled with it.. i understand it sends lower quality to save storage space but i feel the quality is really bad even at that.. Also when I tried to plug the SD card cable into my card reader, it showed no pictures and didn't save any, so I only had the terrible quality pics that were sent through the app. Does anyone know if it is supposed to send them to the app and also save to the actual unit or is it normal for the cell link not to save them on the SD card? In the future, i would probably just spend a little extra and get an actual cell cam.

Don't know much about spypoint but check for firmware updates for your cam. Might help you out.

I also say make sure you have the updated firmware (can find it and copy to the micro SD right off there site). My Cell Link also stores the pics on the physical SD card that's attached to the cord. I don't know if you can delete them from the app, I'm still playing with mine, but maybe that happened? Or you accidentally erased it?

Either way, it should be storing them on that also.
