I don't like commercials either, I do not watch things on TV that bug me. Pretty easy to avoid annoyances.
First--Okie Bob I do not see anywhere I stated facts !!! Second, Black Lives Matter is not correct--B L M Should stand for Burning, Looting and Murder or Blacks love Murder-----look at past weekend ! How many shootings and deaths in Chicago alone ? How many of those were blacks shooting Blacks ? Black Lives do not matter to blacks ! And some want me to support their anthem during NFL ??? NO THANK YOU !
many stats/numbers are within this article ...... BLM and Antifa are a direct threat to this country .... https://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/2020/07/blms-violence-death-americas-cities-john-perazzo/
more info on damage done ... https://www.marketwatch.com/story/t...illion-and-thats-just-in-minnesota-2020-06-04 The estimated loss $735 Million to 1.4 BILLION in damages according to data from PROPERTY CLAIM SERVICES, a Versik Analytics company... the assessments are not done and could take months ...plus, at least 19 deaths were directly pointed to during the riots themselves ...
IMHO, I don't think it will help viewing, revenue nor furthering diversity/race relations. Nascar lost about 25% attendence and viewers the past few years, as they have become more political /socially woke. I foresee similar financial impact to NFL. But using the Socratic method, I have 3 questions. 1) how does the additional song improve the game or race relations? 2) are people attending/watching the game / sport, for the purpose of diversity, social skills or politics? Or rather (carnage and) competition? 3) how will or rather who will benefit and how, from this change?
100% agree with your first statement. This is only going to hurt the league, unfortunately. 1. It obviously doesn't improve the game itself, but it could appease some who are asking for "change." 2. Carnage and competition over diversity, social skills, and politics. 3. I would think it would benefit the people seeking "change." The people who are trying to do good for their particular movement. I know that everyone won't like those answers, but that's just my opinion on how those questions would play out.
My point being, let NFL players kneel to protest lack of funding for Parkinsons research. Then sit back and watch the reactions.
What if you wanted to take a knee during a communist anthem? Hey man like 1% of their policies you may agree with...go ahead and take a knee for that 1%.
Because from that post it seems you believe America is systemically racist. None of the statistics show that at all. None. None for cop stats. None for laws. None for bank lending practices. None for college admission. NONE.
To be honest I'm not sure what your point is. Reaction from whom? The other players, the team owners the fans? Personally I would join them, parkinsons effect both whites and people of color. It would have to be a knee in prayer and or common goal for all against a common enemy. There is no legitimate enemy, common or otherwise with BLM. It is just a common hate of the US. Where are they when kids, babies are being slaughtered in their own communities by people of color? Chicago has been like this for years and years. I believe I'd watch the reaction of solidarity by all in your scenario. Now here's something else that they could take a knee on and find solidarity. It would be for cleaning up and cleaning out the criminal elements in these cities and rounding up, yes I used that term. All the homeless and having them evaluated. Then getting them real help by hospitalization or work and homes. Medication and work. Lets be clear on this point local government thought hands off would be cheaper because charities would step in. Epic fail. Lawyers had get rich schemes and mucked up everything for greed then walked away. Us tax payers have a severe kink in our backs so taking it bent over has numbed us. I really want to give BLM the credit it is due. They opened up AMERICANS eyes. Black, white and all others. Most love this country and all lives. We have started straightening out that kink. Look out EDUCATION for we've had enough.
many companies have codes of on the clock conduct. This is a league that routinely fines players for wearing the wrong color socks, for god's sake. Player doesn't want to conform to the contract he signed? Bench him and forfeit his weekly wage. So on and so forth. Same goes for these punk college players, too. Bench them. Do it again and there goes your scholarship. Kaepertwink wants to march naked at the front of a Communist parade on his own time; so be it. But inside that stadium is his employer's time; not his.
Oh Btw..where the hell are the defund colleges signs? Where are the reform education signs and protests. I won't go down the Wendy's comparison in my mind. When are parents going to march on boards of education and demand in person over sight and good old fashion teaching basics.. Take a computer away from an average kid these days and your left with a deer in the head light bumbling idiot.
Lol! Yeah I dont know about that, we've had our moments. I'm currently reading this and it's an eye opener.
No not at all. I was just trying to make the point that the kneeling began with players protesting something that had nothing to do with the national anthem. Now that they want to play the BLM anthem, is it OK for white players to kneel to that to protest topics that had nothing to do with BLM? My guess is the BLM would throw a fit, hence the "watch the reaction" comment I made. Sorry if my post was misleading.
