Well, the urinalysis reveals a different type of bacteria, but still a UTI. They prescribed her a stronger antibiotic this time, for 14 days instead of 7. We agreed for a blood culture to be sent out.

My Collie had bladder stones, which is an easier way to say $890 surgery. If I hadn't had just put down my other dog I would have probably done the same thing again but it's just money and shes a good dog so she had the surgery. It's a night and day difference in her energy, attitude and workmanship. She may be 12 years old now but she still works cows like she did in her prime.

We get attached to dogs. We have a plaque in the living room- Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.

All pets ,we've had a rough 3 yrs and I fear we are about to loose our last pet. Jade ,our 17-18 yr old cat. Her and Angel were best friends. When Angel past on St Pats day Jade started a slow down hill run.

Wife and have decided that none of the dogs will be replaced when they pass. We love dogs but want to have it easy to travel.

DOHH!!!! Sorry! She is doing much better thanks! Still on antibiotics. Bloodwork revealed she had ecoli bacteria in her urine. The vet said it is common. She is back to her normal self, trying to annoy me to get a treat! She is snoring right beside me now. Thanks, everyone!

Our daughter is going through the whole old dogs issue now.. They are also fostering a dog. A very, very, very over weight 7yr. Old husky that came in at 210 #'s. Last we spoke they had him down to 189 . Poor fellow is a sweetheart but I've never seen a walking coffee table before . The diet food they have to buy him is very expensive. It started with them donating all his food, but the shelter couldn't get anyone to foster him in his weight loss. So they did. It's too bad because once he's small again if the right home that can afford the food isn't found he'll be in trouble again.

So I wrote this and daughter sends me a text a few minutes later. His story made the local news station and they did a rather long interview. BTW ,he's now down to 179. That generated interest and he has a ,well to do, couple coming to check him out tonight.
