Hi all, I,m a long-time bowhunter but new to this forum. Excited to start digging in and getting to know a lot of you. This year, I have decided to reduce my draw weight. That has a cascading effect on many other things, so since I have to re-tune anyway, I’m changing my arrow weight, broadheads, and probably other things that support this goal. I’m tweaking this all now so that I can start stabilizing everything and shooting to prep for the MI deer bow season. Within the next couple weeks here, I want to have everything done. Hence the need to join a forum where there is plenty of technical expertise, and I hope along the way I can help others as well!

I’m guessing somewhere in the low 60s, went down from 70, but I need to get to a bow shop and check to really know. I shoot a lot, I just feel that it’s a little bit more comfortable pulling back less, and I guess I have to finally face that I’m not 25 anymore.

Welcome. Loads of information here. I would love to be able to draw 60 lb. Used to draw 55 lb. with 50% let-off. Got out of the habit of shooting and starting over.

Welcome from.a fellow Michigan bowhunter! In recent years I was forced to switch to a crossbow due to shoulder issues. I thought I was done hunting. But thanks to the crossbow i still enjoy hunting.
