Agree, that what we should have come to expect from the establishment. They have made their bones on our division. However in Trumps case he ran as an outsider, claiming he was anti -establishment, swamp draining etc, put America first etc. Yet he has become the poster boy of exactly what he had argued, correctly I might add, of what was wrong in Washington. We got douped.
Yea just wait for it. We will have people arguing that he (Mattis ) is an anti-American, socialist, commie, liberal democrat. They might even use several forms of improper punctuation, for example, the period strings, and characters that will leave you bewildered by their abject stupidity. The real funny thing is that when Mattis got hired on he was held up as the second coming, the first being Trump of course. However now they will try to discredit him. But I digress, I think General is spot on in his assessment.
Problem is nobody in government office makes it long as the lone ranger. Bout gotta fall in line or get replaced with someone who will. Really didn't expect him to last very long in office. Was glad when it was announced, but he's gonna do his own thing and not just go along. Kinda somewhat how his military career ended despite being a good combat leader. There's a little insight into his leadership if you ever read the book Generation Kill. So the arrests taking place in NYC for curfew violations seems a bit staged and over dramtic for what it is. Hell, one of the cops talking to the person about to be cuffed basically asked if they wanted to stand up and gave a near rolleye at the situation. Deblasio, Pritzker and a whole lot of these mayors have failed big time. You can blame Trump for some things, but you cannot blame him for everything. Many have failed in this high dollar orchestrated series of demonstrations over the past week plus.
