I never did while I lived there. We always thought of ourselves as NE. Eastern time zone, our teams were all in the Eastern Divisions/conferences. Michiganders have more in common with Mainers than Missourians. I think when the NHL and MLB realigned, we became more centralized in our rivalries and thinking.
So I am kinda nuts it was extremely hard to have people tour the ranch I came home and found closet doors left open and pissed last night, ended all showings and said it is all over at 8 pm tonight. resulted in a bidding war laughing my butt off sold the ranch tonight and it ended well, very well. Changes everything..KMA kinda $
I once started a thread end of an era about this place it will be very hard the last drive out but the lake just got cheaper.
Doing some research on the new area, I am excited there is a supper club near by. Not sure when I will ever get to dine there but at least there is that option if the owner can hang on thru the pandemic.
Relaxing eating dinner watching the evening sun shining through the freshly unfurled light green leaves. So beautiful.
"That's weird" says my southern wife. So there ya go. Of course I will stay quiet knowing the best barbeque joints are usually closed at least Monday, Tuesday and some on Wednesdays and/or Sundays.
Supper Clubs used to be a rural Wisconsin and Minnesota thing usually up North by lakes country. They tended to have more premium menus like steak and lobster crab prime rib etc. Usually in an area where there are several lakes that draw the tourists. Locals would go there for a "fancy" dinner while the A-holes from the cities would come and blow money on the weekends. I am very happy to be in Supper Club country.
How long do I have to live up there before I can complain with the locals about a-holes from the cities? To the people up there I will be a guy from the cities even though I am way outside the metro area now. I work in Hennepin county and that is close enough for them.
I’ve always wondered this. I don’t think I’ve even been to a supper club actually. Aren’t they more of a WI thing ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
What are the rules these days for weddings? Are they like college if your parents have money they pay for your schooling and if not you foot the bill? My family/girlfriends family has always been without a ton of money saved so we plan to pay for everything upfront. Most likely a destination wedding with only our closest friends.
