We been seeing similar cases for the last two months. they are home " doing fine " then they crash, it comes in as code or unresponsive. No Rhyme or reason to it, comorbiditys sometimes yes sometimes no, mostly male. Ages been all over the map. Chance for infection working a code has been very high, meaning we have had medics get it after working it. We have also seen the same thing with untested or confimed pts with no significant HX, some have later been tested and confimed however most are never tested. Our year over year total for codes and unresponsives leading to codes or respiratory aressts are significantly higher then our 5 year avg. We get a good laugh out of the posted death totals for our county's because they are flat out under recorded.
