Pretty excited for this upcoming season. We have acquired roughly another 700 acres that adjoins our existing lease giving us roughly 1300+ acres in total. 5 of the original members (including myself) have picked some new spots on the new land. Needless to say, I am stoked. After 5 years on lease, I finally have a good looking creek bottom with lots of topographic features. I deployed a few cameras on some trophy rocks, so we will see in a couple of weeks what kind of movement I have in my area.

How's everyone else's season prep work coming along??

Wow awesome. That's a big piece of woods to hunt! I dont have any new lands to prep this year. But did frost seed over my clover plots to help keep them full and give some new growth. I am putting a new plot in this fall with a barassica blend. Will be my first attempt at a plot other than clover. So that will be fun to see how it turns out. 10" of snow on Easter was not what I wanted to see though

Set out two trophy rocks in my section of the creek bottom I picked. First one on the south end, has a group of about 4 does coming through pretty consistently. On the south end, I have found a bachelor group fresh into the growing season. We will see how the following months go when I deploy more cameras in my areas.

That’s great. My favorite spots are creek bottoms. Tons of different wildlife move in them.

Congrats on the new spot. I’m still trying to figure out last years 200 acres I got access to. Had a couple close encounters with some good bucks but couldn’t close the deal.

Guides by Fix has a few openings. Just give me the address of the parcel and I'll go check it for turkeys first then prep it for whitetails

    hello hunter

I am new to the forum and am from the Netherlands,
am always looking for new people and challenges, and as a hobby archery (compound) and BBQ'ings, nice combination.

And would like to go hunting in USA, I think it is a great experience, that wst can do with all of you is not possible, can / will you help me to make this possible that would be great.

Your nature is also great, hope to hear something soon

    greetings Martijn

    Hello Fix

no I don't live in the USA but in the Netherlands
I started archery last summer and also went on holiday to Alaska last year, it was very beautiful.

Now this must of course also be combinable, hunting holiday, meeting the forests in new nice people, only here in the Netherlands not the possibility to hunt, from there my call,

    regards Martijn
