Here's my reasoning on my opinion.

    Mostly based on other countries.

NYC is our epicenter, it's our Wuhan, Italy etc on its own. Once NYC takes that downturn, which Cuomo stated Friday or Saturday was in the 7-8 day range, per the modeling, then said 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 days. So 4-8 days from then, if correct. Cuomo as well as Fauci amd Birx stated yesterday they were in hopes NYC was about to that apex. Once NYC hits that and starys coming down our curve as a nation will as well. I'm not saying then end of it is here, we'll have new cases and unfortunately deaths throughout the year. Luckily, we do not have 15 NYC's throughout the nation. We have smaller versions, but most of those are going through similar on a smaller scale.

IL and Michigan are thought to be on the same timeline.

The reason the next week or two is being described as it is is because the number of positives was/is spiking daily so with 7-14 days for recovery, that will also be the peak times of death. On the upside, while new cases and then hopefully deaths start becoming lower and lower the recovered numbers is going to follow that same type of curve.

Hopefully Summer can slow it down and some sort of medical breakthrough can be had during that time for the second wave in the Fall.

It's not going anywhere anytime soon, but we do have to get back to daily life somehow. We can't shut everything down for 14 months.

My employer starting handing out masks today. Not mandatory-for now.

Only 2 of us in our cube spaces this week and we are about 20 feet apart. Pretty dang quiet with the others gone.

Today I start making masks. My Dr apt. Was rescheduled to June 23.
Glad I sew and use to do crafts for xmas and 4H. I have everything I need to make the ones that are closer to N95 filtering..
Someone said one of local zoo tigers now have it. Not the NYC one, upstate. Hubby said what are they going to do if this ends up in the meat supply like with the hog virus in China?
Now no going to groceries stores and pharmacies?. Not everyone has a bunch of freezers. I'm now saving seeds from every fresh veggie I can ...so many great videos out there.

Oh we've been playing it here at home and the prizes are freaking awesome. They include hurt feelings, not mine of course. Long explanations of knowledge gained years ago. Grand prizes include storming out of the room and slamming doors yelling "fine, just fine". This game could replace Wheel of Fortune bc it's so unpredictable and entertaining..

Also peak (Top of curve) <> back to normal or even the end of deaths from the virus.

Well ours is a tad different on reactions. Learned long ago a good old " GFYS " and a walk away ends things quickly. As soon as 10 mins later it can be a "hey hun......." By one or the other. The whole thing with these issues is a firm succinct release of emotion, rational or not is needed to end them. Those three words do that for us. Though, agreed upon years ago.

Ok sewing with out pins not easy...just setting up the machine from last years heavy saddle build took for ever. Then realizing hhmm my face though I'm a big person...not as big as that pattern on the video. May want to go to ties than over ear elastic. I see me ears are sort of small as well. Not a lot of cartridge there....LOL hope next ones go better, may be good for hubby I'll see tonight.

Was talking to my wife about something and it dawned on me that I have not seen my son in over a month. I have talked to him on the phone but have not seen him. Kinda bummed my wife out too.

Pennsylvania, a relative late comer, has entered the race.

Lousiana, anecdotally, also doesn't seem to have slowed much...but I'm not looking at all the details

I am missing my nieces and nephews, haven't seen them in a month or so. Did a virtual archery coaching lesson with my niece the other day, sucks not being there in person to celebrate her good shooting.

N.O. has the highest death rate per capita. 19 per 100,000 people.
