I’m about 25 miles in now. I’m up to 14. The last 10 miles have produced nothing but a few Crossbow bolts, a pocket knife, an old boy scout canteen, and a lot of old glass bottles. I’ve been scouting by the river so no telling what you will find . My honey hole is on my list next. Hopefully in next week I’ll get there
Dang! Rain all day yesterday and woke up this morning to everything being white again. Winds at 25 mph with gusts to 40 mph. It won't last though.
Score! Matching set. My biggest match set of sheds for sure. And I was gonna lay around and watch movies today.
I have zero history with this Buck. I actually was on a mission to find another buck that I had a couple encounter with sheds....these are bigger by quite a bit.
30- maybe 40 yds! I couldn’t believe it. I think this buck may have been traveling back and forth through this grass on the daily. The trail I found them on leads to a couple fields. One is winter wheat and the other corn stubble with a lot of waste. Wanted to hit those fields but owner said no.
That’s what I was thinking. I think the guy just got sick of people beating his door off the hinges every year and then trespassers. Now it’s just he hates everybody lol
ive only found two small ones so far. seemed like when we had the contest i had more motivation to get out. wish it would start up again someday.
Wish I was out shedding. Instead I’m working. Looks like I may be here every day till Good Friday. Anyone out today?
The shed season is wrapping up for us, but we decided to take a walk yesterday in Clark County, IA. Found this nice set---5.5 inch bases! Pretty much every day we've decided to shed hunt this year it’s been bright and sunny...definitely giving our eyes a workout!
