New to the forum and to the Archery community. From the small state of RI but do a fair amount of traveling for work and Armyland.

I just acquired my first bow in about 20 or so years. Grabbed up a lightly used Hoyt Powermax and looking to get on a range as soon as I get back from a month of Armyland in January.

Mostly looking for local clubs and or good shops within an hours drive.

Would like to get ready for next season as it's been way to long and sadly I'm more of a rife guy than a bow guy but would love to change that.

    Brandon

Welcome to the forum, passion, and money pit. You are joining us at a wonderful time. Lots of seasons are finishing up and or done. So there will be tons of shop talk for the next few months. Ask loads of questions and absorb as much as you can.

Like I stated above I'd love to find a local shop/club that I could absorb as much as I can.

Welcome. I was a part of Armyland until 50 years ago. Tennessee is a great place to hunt. Already looking at next year- archery, muzzle loading, pistol, rifle, shotgun. It's possible under the right conditions and regulations to take a deer with each method.

Yeah I did some active time in 2003 fresh out of highschool and got back in in 2009.

I enjoy it but its babysitting at times too. The life of a squad leader and dealing with today's kids lol.

We did well this past year in Romania. Some Beautiful country out there wish I had more time to walk around. Had herds of water buffalo, cattle, sheep, horses and dogs just roam through our work site. Which happens to be a target area for NATO Tanks and Aircraft......

We will see how we do at JRTC after the first lol. Going to be the only Guard unit there playing with Big Army how much fun that will be lol
