I hunted Oklahoma this morning and saw a possum. There are literally acorns everywhere. No way to find a good oak tree dropping acorns to set up on, they're all dropping a ton of acorns. Lots of folks have stopped feeding corn because nothing is eating it. Never have seen so many acorns.

Well gents I stuck a buck last night at last light not a great shot arrow was sticking all way through him so I let go til this morning and went to find him only to find no blood no arrow and no deer I search for three hours. I haven't had that happen in many years. Sorta depressing. Any how did see a big owl trying to get it done lol scared all squirrels off.

Man, that stinks. Sorry that didn't work out. Nothing makes a hunter feel worse than losing game. It won't go to waste, coyotes gotta eat too

Well damn that is never a good feeling. Sorry man. Happened to me 2 years ago at last light also. It is frustrating to say the least.

I’m still at it fellas. Shot a small hog last week but the only bucks I had around me were dinks. Going back through Kansas on my way to Wyoming for Christmas, maybe I can get a deer down there. I’ll keep y’all posted.

Next time I’ll be able to get out is when everyone is off for the holidays. This wedding planning stuff is ridiculously time consuming.

Yeah I'm down to weekends only basically, but I am still getting out and seeing deer. I just haven't seen a shooter. I may take another doe if the opportunity happens, but that won't help us in the points department. Good luck and way to be hard core.

You must be proud. I met Dustin and his wife at the last GTG that BHOD had, they were super nice people. I also love watching him on BHOD.

Got out early this morning, and now a pretty thick fog has come in. Can’t honestly say I’ve ever hunted in this before.

Nothing this morning boys. I thought I heard one, but it sounded weird. Even if it was a deer, there was no way I could have shot it with the sun the way it was.

Thanks Blarney. We always wonder how our kids act when we’re not around:).

Hey buddy this thing is all about having fun. I’m in a blind now at 1:38 pm on the last day of December and still trying to kill a deer. Hunted four states and probably spent 150+ hours watching the woods. I usually kill a buck and a few does in September but not this year. I’m still having fun though. Good luck in the Middle East. Be safe.
